Igor Gnedo is a Russian American artist who has exhibited internationally with shows in New York and Russia. Inspired by personal cultural ties, politics, nostalgia and religious heritage, his bold, abstract works are a study of identity, cultural belonging and purpose.
In 2013, Igor graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from Manhattan’s Fashion Institute of Technology. German expressionism, The Vienna Secession, Russian Avant-Garde and history continue to inspire his work.
Igor's illustrations have been published in American Illustration 2017, 3x3 Illustration Annual 2015, 2016 and 2017, Illustration Friday and Washington Square Review. His artwork is in the collection of Scriber's Catskill Lodge and numerous private collections. Igor has received commissions to create original artwork for various clients including The Yard, Jus by Julie and Truth and Soul Records.
